The Occupy Movement

On September 17, 2011, many people, encouraged by social media, unions, and community organizers attempted to “Occupy Wall Street”. The original goal of this group was to force Wall Street traders and employees to wade through a “peaceful protest” to get to work everyday which, in turn, would cause the stock markets to shut down. Upon failing to carry out their goal, the organizers of the “Occupy Wall Street”  movement used the mainstream media attention to call for Americans to “occupy something”. But unlike the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, the “Occupy” movement has little to do with corporate greed, bank bailouts, entitlement cuts, fair taxes, unending war, or the unemployment situation and more to do with encouraging civil disorder and unrest.

This is where things go from bad… to worse…

Over the course of the past month and a half, some very prominent United States political leaders have publicly praised and endorsed the efforts of the Occupy movement; among them are the three highest ranking Democratic Party leaders in America: President Barack Obama, Vice-President Joseph Biden, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

However, consider the following protest signs:

"Occupy Wall Street Sign"

While many of the people attending the “Occupy Wall Street” protest consisted of average Americans who are upset that corporations, receiving tax breaks and bailouts, have not helped with the unemployment situation and that banks, receiving tax breaks and bailouts, have not helped with financial stability, their anger is completely misplaced.

Politicians take an oath to serve the interests of the American people they represent in government. If Wall Street and corporations have corrupted the political process then it is because the politicians allowed them to. The politicians of this country create the tax code as well as the rules and regulations that corporations must follow. If a corporation is not paying “their fair share of taxes, it is the fault of politicians in Washington D.C.

"Kill The Banks" - Occupy Wall Street Poster

Similarly, it was the Senate Finance and House Financial Services Committees who allowed and even encouraged banks to extend risky housing loans and credit to consumers who could ill afford it. The banks who chose to take part, did so because they counted on the guaranteed reimbursement promises made by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). What happened afterward with TARP bailouts is moot because the FHA never should have guaranteed these toxic assets to begin with.

Although the Senate Finance and House Financial Services Committees received alerts to the crisis as early as four years prior to the financial meltdown, the two Chairmen of these Committees, Senator Chris Dodd and Representative Barney Frank, repeatedly denied that problems existed and refused to act until it was too late.

A lot of Americans lost their savings and retirement money because the people responsible for the financial oversight and regulation of American banks refused to do their jobs. Yet, the press, the mainstream media, and the Occupy movement give Mr. Dodd and Mr. Frank a free pass while demonizing banks for the very predatory lending practices Mr. Dodd and Mr. Frank encouraged.

"Corporations Are Not People" - Occupy Wall Street Poster

At least this poster is correct. Corporations are not people, they are the paperwork that the Federal, State, and Local governments requires of people to fill out and register their business for tax purposes.

Interestingly enough, the members of Congress are exempt from insider trading rules and have found they can profit from passing on information about companies that the Federal government is about to fund. If investors can get in early, they can make a lot of money when the Federal government gives a grant to a “crony capitalist” corporation. Then they can sell the stock once it has peaked.

Ironically, members of Congress will hint at being bribed or bought off by corporations when, in reality, they are the ones who are soliciting bribes from corporations in exchange for political favors, fair tax breaks, and donations to their campaign war chests.

Again, the elected officials of Washington D.C. are the ones who take an oath to represent the interests of their constituencies. If they are allowing tax breaks, bailouts, and political favor against the will of their constituencies, then their constituents need to make sure their representative’s seat is “Occupied by someone else in 2012“.

"Unity Liberty Solidarity" - Occupy Wall Street Poster

Being a union worker for the past sixteen years, I recognize union propaganda when I see it, and this poster IS union propaganda. Not only are the Occupy movement folks misguided in their anger and response to piss poor governance, foreign and domestic anti-American entities are using the movement to create riotous conditions and civil unrest within the country.

Some of the entities officially endorsing the Occupy movement are:

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU), The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) representing almost sixty international unions), The Industrial Workers of the World, The Socialist Party USA, The Communist Party USA, The Revolutionary Communist Party, The Marxist Student Union, Freedom Road Socialist Organization, The Party for Socialism and Liberation, The International Socialist Organization, The American Nazi Party, White Revolution, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), The Black Panthers, Louis Farrakhan – Leader of The Nation Of Islam, Hugo Chavez – President Of Venezuela, The Communist Party of China, The Government of North Korea, The Revolutionary Guard of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei – Supreme Leader of Iran, Hezbollah, and Anonymous – the infamous hacking group.

The mainstream media silence is deafening.

"Riots In Oakland, CA" - The Occupy Movement

Take a look at the results of President Barack Obama, Vice-President Joe Biden, and Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s endorsements of the Occupy movement.

These are the same people who accused Sarah Palin of rhetoric that could cause violence, who condemn the TEA party as racist extremists, and claim conservatives are terrorists? You’re kidding me right?

None of these people have disavowed or apologized for their endorsements of the Occupy movement, their irresponsible actions, the rapes that have taken place, people defecating and urinating everywhere, nor the violence and damages their endorsements have wrought.

These are the three people who have allied themselves with the TRULY radical elements of society by encouraging their unruly behavior and civil disobedience every step of the way, these are the three people who have pitted American against American racially, economically, religiously, socially, and sexually.

"Barack Obama" - President Of The United States

"Joe Biden" - Vice President Of The United States

"Nancy Pelosi - Minority House Speaker

But far more important, these are the three people who have decided to give Communists, Socialists, Nazis, Black Panthers, International Unions, and hostile foreign entities preference to the safety and security of the general public by endorsing the Occupy movement, all for the sake of money and political power.

I guess they feel that desperate times call for truly desperate measures.
